Gérard Rose, the golden voice

Since his childhood in Mauritius, Gérard Rose has been immersed in a vibrant musical universe.

It was at the age of 30, encouraged by a musician friend captivated by the depth of his voice, that he embraced his passion for singing. Inspired by soul legends Georges Benson, Al Jarreau, Stevie Wonder, Lionel Ritchie, he joined his friend’s group.

Later, he was contacted by the largest hotels in Mauritius and the Indian Ocean: Reunion and Madagascar. For several years, he also became the essential voice of Constance Luméria, a luxury 5* hotel in the Seychelles.

With his Baritone voice, he has the privilege of exercising his artistic talent in countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Zanzibar and Kenya. As an international singer, he is also invited to Mauritian television.

In 2013, Gérard moved to France and nurtured a long-held ambitious dream: to pay tribute to his idol Barry White. Driven by an intact passion for the music of the master of soul, he created the Barry White Tribute Paris where he revisits the maestro’s greatest hits.

After years of fruitful collaboration, the group decided to take different artistic paths, thus marking the end of a chapter but the beginning of a new adventure. It was at this precise moment that Gérard met Christophe Violland (conductor, accomplished musician, pianist, arranger, composer) and explained to him his project to continue the Barry White Tribute Paris adventure. Together, they decide to breathe new life into the project.
